Seyi Olaoye is a Lawyer, human resources practitioner and business coach. Seyi’s mission is to open entrepreneurs to the right knowledge, skill and information required for their businesses to succeed in a dynamic and challenging business environment.
As a lawyer, Seyi focuses on helping entrepreneurs understand the legal framework for doing business in Nigeria. In the past years, Seyi has helped several startups navigate complex situations and transactions through his expert legal advisory and consultancy roles.
Seyi is currently the legal adviser to a number of individuals, associations and corporate organisations in areas of registration of businesses and floatation of companies, drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, consultancy on labour and employment matters, legal advisory on real and intellectual property protection, conflict resolution and mediation, company secreterial services, Insurance law, law reporting and editorial services for law publications to mention a few.
As a human resource practitioner, Seyi has a bias for labour law especially in areas of drafting standard contracts of employment, employees’ handbook and company policies in line with global standards, international labour conventions and emerging trends in employment law.
He is also a professional tutor at CIPM study centers, where he tutors insurance and pensions management at P.E. 1 level and Labour Law at P. E. 2 level.
In the past years, Seyi has tutored over 300 CIPM students with 95% pass rate. A good number of his students are now Associates of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.
As a business coach, Seyi helps individuals develop income skills i.e. how to generate income with a skills already possessed or that can be acquired. He help startups in branding and increasing visibility to prospects while upscaling goods and services to attract the right customers or clients. He is able to achieve this based on his previous work experience in a law publication firm where he set up the sales and marketing strategies to promote the firms books and publications across the geopolitical zones in Nigeria.
Seyi is the founder of Seyi Olaoye Coaching Academy – S.O. Coaching Academy, an online coaching academy that provides coaching services and training programs for startup entrepreneurs. He is also the principal at Metroplex Law Firm. A full service commercial law firm situated in Lagos.
Seyi is a member of Nigerian Bar Association and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.
